My friend is newly diagnosed, MG associated with a myeloma antibody (which she has had for a long time. MG was a surprise.) We need a referral to a local (NJ or thereabouts) MG center of excellence, if one exists. Can anyone help us, please? Thank you. And forgive me if I challenge the etiquette - I have never participated in a forum like this before.

Hi. You can write to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation to ask for names of specialists in your area: http://www.myasthenia.org/ . Just click on the "contact us" tab.

I know that Johns Hopkins is quite close to NJ, and they are a great place for MG, one of the best in the country I believe, yet i dont know the names, i could get them quite easily I think if the myasthenia organization cannot produce them. I am going to a college next year near there, and am going to be followed by them.
Hope it works out for your friend |
