Default Cost of IVIG Infusion with Medicare

I'm about to have a VATS Thymectomy and my neuro is suggesting I have an IVIG infusion. Anyone know what the cost is of this with someone on Medicare.

From what I have heard in other MG groups, Medicare Part D is what covers IVIG for MGers. And you WILL go into the "donut-hole" on the first go-round. It is EXPENSIVE stuff. I "think" that "some" advocates were trying to get a bill passed in Congress to get Medicare to cover IVIG for MG and other disorders. I "think" that it DOES already cover certain illnesses -- not sure what they are.

Sorry that I cannot be of more help.
