Smile Pneumonia Shots?

Where is your experience and thinking around this injection? I want to be prepared as my secondary infections get worse in the winter.

I got this shot for my daughter once when she was an infant (because she has heart trouble) and she developed a very high fever the next day. I think I remember reading that this is a common reaction, but it's vague in my mind. It's worth looking into, though, especially if high fevers are dangerous for you. Then again, pneumonia is dangerous, too.

I get it every 5 years (the recommended dosage) and don't have any problems. I have had mg since 2000, so have had the pneumonia shot twice since diagnosis. As I said, no problems.

Good luck!

Hi Annie 59,
I wish I didn't get that shot which made me relapse a year ago...
My advise: never get a shot unless you are well stabilized and do not change any medication dosage two weeks before nor two weeks after the shot!
Maurice.
