right you are.. which unfortunately is why a lot of human drug trials eliminate women ( confounding factors) but is also why we have so litle understanding of how our hormones and meds interact....

I am 57 and had a hysterectomy at 28. I began taking hormone (natural) treatments a little over a year ago. They are implants (pellets)of testesterone and estrogen every 2 months in the hip. I take progesterone sublinqual at night. I was doing wonderful on this treatment but since I started Mestinon, it seems like the hormone treatments are not working. I am very moody, irritable, depressed. This may be off the subject just a little, but does the Mestinon change any of your moods even when you are not having your monthly. busybusy

Mestinon does effect my moods. If I take more than 15 mg at a time, Mestinon makes me nervous and jumpy and I have difficulty talking or even being around people. I now only take 15 mg doses so I haven't experienced this for a while.

I find it interesting how so many things in our bodies are related...I wish I knew more...I wish our doctors understood this better.
