Default Update on my hospital stay

Hello all- as you all know I developed aseptic meningitis and had a spinal tap to rule out bacterial and viral meningitis- though when they did this the needle punctured a hole too big for my body to recover and I developed a spinal headache and am just getting out of the hospital today. I have had caffeine IV fluids, 2 blood patches and a bunch of morphine and percocet. For now my mg is doing extremely well and I hope it continues to do so as I have finals coming up the next 2 weeks and ive missed a a week of classes.

When it rains it pours i guess? Thanksgiving is definetly not my holiday as last thanksgiving was my first crisis and now this.

Oh well, im better anyway! im thankful for that. It was the most painful thing I have ever gone through and hope none of you have to go through it.

Hope your all doing well.

Default Hi Tyson

Thanks for the update I have been wondering how you were doing.

I think you ought to start giving your Thanks Giving holiday a miss!! There's always next year and the main thing is you are now on the mend.

Hope your headache has cleared, I had a lumbar puncture last year and I had the awful headache for five days. It was so bad I remember sobbing because I had to get up to go to the bathroom, knowing that my head would feel like it was going to explode. I spent 5 days completely flat in bed drinking cans of red bull and I can't abide the stuff! LOL

Good luck with your exams

Love
Rach

Gee, hearing all of that pain makes me feel it.

Glad you're on the mend.
