Default Overdid it...

I think I overdid it yesterday getting ready for Christmas Eve....cleaned house, supervised cooking (my hubby did the majority of it) wrapped gifts, and had the entire family over, all 17 of us. I have always had Christmas Eve and my sister has Christmas Day.

Today, I am so tired -- legs feel weak as well as my core area. Hard to explain the way it feels. Just kind of an overwhelming tiredness and maybe a feeling like I need to lay down. My legs felt so weak that my hubby ended up having to make today's food too since I felt too weak to stand in the kitchen.

I will have to make today's festivities shorter (dinner at my sister's for Christmas Day and to celebrate my neice's birthday). I'm thinking this might have to be the last year that I host Christmas Eve although it has been a 25 year tradition. Perhaps a change of venue is needed for next year.

Everyone have a very Merry Christmas!

Oh I'm so sad for you. I did the same thing on Thanksgiving. It has now become a life of adjustments. I ask myself all the time "do I really want to attempt this?"
Get some rest and hope you feel better soon.
Mike

Be very careful - the Holidays can have a serious impact on MG'ers for just the reasons you said.

We want so badly to keep things as though they were still the same. They're not. But different doesn't have to be bad thing - - just different.

I hope you and family have a wonderful weekend of celebration -- plenty of time to figure out next year!

Elanor, I hope you are doing okay. About all I can do is show up and socialize for a couple of hours. That alone tanks me. So, yeah, I think it might be time for others to take charge of the holidays!
