Question Question for Annie B3 or Alice md

I have been following Dessert Flowers thread about food allergies and MG.

Do either of you know of any direct correlation between MG and Dermographism?

I have had solar urticaria for many years, I also get severe hives when I use powdered latex gloves ( no problems with powder free), and sometimes just from contact with something. One of the worst causes is if I am filing charts and my arms rest on the tops of the folders, I end up with hives on my arms that resemble slash marks. Just to name a few things, I could go on and on.

When I was I child I had severe reactions to synthetic fibers, that has resolved for the most part. As far as I know I have no food allergies, no medication allergies, but I do have seasonal allergies. I take OTC Claritin daily, year round. I've never seen an allergist.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Rachel

My advice? Go see an allergist. And a rheumatologist because some people with lupus get solar urticaria.

Go to PubMed and lookup "myasthenia dermographism" or "myasthenia allergies" and see what you find.

You have got to go see a doctor though.
