The New York Times recently ran a contest to see who could figure out what was wrong with a girl who presented with unexplained hair loss. I won't give it away (it's not MG, though!), but I guessed it, because I picked up some medical information while trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I bet some people here will guess, too.
What strikes me is the end of the article, where someone who is diagnosed with this same disease, and is getting treated, boasts that she can now pick up a gallon of milk with one hand. She is 16 when she says this. She had never been able to do it, and never knew that was abnormal, because when you grow up with a condition, that's the only "normal" you know. That reminded me strongly of some stories I've read here about people who had MG from early childhood.
