Does anyone notice an almost immediate reaction after having a drink? I don't drink alcohol because it makes me feel very lethargic. Once in a while I"ll try a glass of wine, ususally when I'm out to dinner with my husband. The last two times I noticed that after just a couple of sips, my chest starts feeling really "heavy" and I have difficulty breathing. I thought the first time was not related to MG, but after the second time, I'm thinking that it is. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, Abby, it can suck the acetylcholine right out of you!
That's weird that alcohol has no effect on you, Tyson. If I have a couple sips of champagne, for example, I wake up unable to breathe at night. Kim, I would also tell your neurologist that you are that sensitive to alcohol right now. It might be that your MG is on the edge. Annie |
