Anyone else have a problem with too many platelets? Mine always show they are too high at my monthly blood tests. I take 1500 mg of CellCept a day and 60 mg of Mestinon a day.
My white blood cell count was abnormally high for 3 - 4 months, but is now back to normal. I also had viral pharyngitis during some of the high WBC. I am seeing a hematologist who is monitoring this. He says if it doesn't improve I will need a bone marrow biopsy. He thinks I could be producing too much bone marrow. I also had a CT scan to rule out my Thymus growing back. I had a thymectomy in August 2008. |

There are many causes, including chronic inflammation and celiac disease. It may not be a bone marrow problem. Has your primary doctor run any more tests in an effort to figure out a cause? |

I just came across the Disturbing Mestinon post, looks like there is some good info there. I will look it over tomorrow.
Annie, my primary Dr., hematologist, and neuro are all working together on this. They work for the same Medical Clinic. They are all monitoring it. I will see the hematologist again in Nov. |
