Default weight gain and tiredness

I have gained about 10 lbs in 5 months. I think it is the prednisone. What kind of exercise can I do. Everything seems to tire me out. Just doing laundry and dishes makes me tired. I am trying to stop sugar. I know that prednisone can make your insulin higher. Any ideas?

Barabara- sorry know this is a tough subject.

I never have had to endure the weight gain of prednisone persay..but I've been on it 2 years at a high dose. Yoga is my answer.

in the morning when you have the most energy, try to get up and just do some flexibility work, then conditioning. if you need poses to do, let me know and I can help send some thru the Internet. yoga can be very intense but some poses are more for relaxation and strength building which will help w the weight loss.

when I wasnt allowed to exersize per dr order I did yoga every nite..nothing intense but to keep me in some form of shape. I do it every once in a while now, too.

hope this helps.
