Default Is taking Sudafed for post nasel drip bad for Myasthenia Gravis?

;;I have a terrible time trying to swallow my saliva plus alot of post nasel drip. I have to keep spitting it out which is very tiering, Is sudafed o.k. to take, any other suggestions? I'v tried Clarintin ( forgive my spelling) but that didn't help.

I notice if I'm in a warm and dry place I don't get as much drippage but the cold and dampness around here is hard to hide from. I live in W.N.Y. The rain and snow has already started for the season.

You might be allergic to mold. Wet autumns are the worst for mold allergies, because of the rotting leaves. I'm not sure what to do about this--I have the same problem and have never found anything that helped--but you might feel better after a few really heavy frosts, when it's cold enough to kill the mold.

As far as I know, sudafed contains pseudoepherine which can actually be beneficial for some MG patients. But, with your complicated medical history I would check it out with your neurologist/GP first.

Smile

I took Sudafed once for a runny nose from a cold and it didn't cause me any troubles with my MG, but I agree with Alice that you should check with your doctor first.
