It certainly SOUNDS like MG - not everyone will test "positive" for MG; that's what's so frustrating about this disease!

One thing you might look at in tandem with possible MG is Celiac Disease/Gluten Sensitivity. While MG and CD are different conditions, if a person is sensitive to gluten and continues to consume it, it can make the symptoms of MG even worse.

There is lots of information out there about Celiac Disease - you will want to get tested for it before you take any action. A gluten-free diet for life will significantly improve the overall well-being of a person with gluten issues.

Don't let ANY doctor tell you this is psychological - that frustrates the heck out of me!

You might want to ask your neurologist if you can try a Mestinon trial - that should tell you pretty quick whether you are going down the right path to a diagnosis or not.

Yes I was tested for Celiac Disease and it was negative. Thank you for the information though! Unless the blood test is inaccurate?

You can have celiac disease and have a negative antibody test. And you can have gluten sensitivity, which doesn't show up on an antibody test. In addition, the genius gastros have decided that the Reticulin Antibody doesn't need to be done anymore, even though it's sensitive and specific for CD and it tests a different protein/antigen reaction. My Reticulin was positive. If you have concerns about it, you can see a gastroenterologist for more info.

Oh, also if you have a low IgG level, it can affect the test and make it look like a false negative. Same with MG and a low IgA level.
