Default Mestinon and eye pain

So finally I've discovered that Mestinon helps me, a lot! I was just taking too much before. Half a tablet every five hours seems to be right for me.

Unfortunately, after about a week on Mestinon, I have an ache in my left eye. It hurts especially when I move my eyes. I remember this pain from last time I was on Mestinon.

Does anyone know if whatever the drug is doing to my eye could cause permanent damage? Does anyone have any suggestions for preventing or alleviating the eye pain? On Mestinon, I wasn't "normal," but I was walking fine. Today I didn't take any Mestinon and by the evening, I was having a lot of trouble walking again.
