Question Remission for 9 years and now hard to swallow food...

Over 10 years ago I was diagnosed with MG. I had all of the symptoms associated with MG to fullest. Then in 2003 I had a thymectomy which put me in remission almost immediately. Been doing great since but over the past 5 months I have had difficulty in swallowing food to a point where I almost chock to death. I had similar symtoms before the thymectomy and occasional bouts after my thymectomy but those would last a day or two and would happen maybe once a year. It also feels like my nasal passages are not closing and sometimes I sound nasally when talking. These were the same symptoms I had the first time around. Could I be coming out of remission? I have yet to get the any other MG symptoms other than being a little more tired and occasionally have optical migraines. I do plan on calling my Neuro this week for an appointment but was wondering if any of you have had the same thing happen.

Thanks!!
-Doug

I believe your question is if it is possible to have MG after so many years of full remission. And the answer is, unfortunately, yes.
