Default Hello..not dx'd with questions

Hello everyone, I'm Cheryl, and I've been hanging here the past two days reading your forum.

Many yrs ago I thought I had MG and now have come back full circle to suspect it again, although the neurologist did one test and said that the muscle weakness must be from my arthritis in my spine/neck and sent me on my way.

They are now sending me to a neuro-opthamologist for the double vision. I have trouble swallowing, hoarseness with talking, can't lift my arms overhead, struggle to walk up stairs, all of which started in my early 30's. One day I sat at the bottom of the stairs and wasn't sure how I would be able to get back up. I am 56 now and very healthy except for the muscle weakness since I have taken such good care of myself because the doctors wouldn't help me. My house and my car are total disasters though...lol

My guestion is, I was wondering if any of you get spasms or cramps. I get them in my feet, I also have esophageal spasms, and torso spasms like when I twist my upper body to reach for something. I keep it under control with magnesium mostly and it could be a mineral deficiency so not sure there.

I do have a thyroid nodule..which can also be implicated in muscle weakness but it seems to be rare.

Cheryl

neuro-opthamologist is a great start!!! He gave me my first DX. My blood work for the Neuro had come back Neg but the neuro-opthamologist said he didn't care about the blood work MG was the only answer for my double vision and within a year my blood work would come back positive or "he would eat his hat" well he was 100% correct.

I do get cramps in my feet and hands but think it one of the multitude of meds I take but not sure.
Good Luck
Mike
