Yale won't even schedule me an appointment, and they are already booking out past mid-May, until I send them clinical notes, labs and images, demographic sheet (which means name, info, insurance, "etc". etc?! how do I send it if you don't tell me what you want?!!! there is no preprinted form!), diagnoses and referring physician's letter.
I don't have clinicals--contacted doctors through phone and email (no appointments available for weeks to months depending on which one. nor do they want to see me.) I have one negative blood test and one emg which sounds like probably wasn't done right or completely. I will guess at the demographics and put down everything I can think of. I guess I will write up what diagnoses have been proposed by various doctors but never confirmed or mostly even looked into by the other various doctors (it's always someone else's responsibility to handle it, never the doc I'm at. they send me in circles "well, what does Dr. X say?" "Dr X said well what do YOU say?") and symptoms myself. Maybe I can get on of the ophthalmologists to write a referral letter. By the time I get all this down to them, I won't get an appointment until June. You'd think someplace that's booking more than six weeks out would let you have the appointment set and then start sending in stuff. Talked to someone at the MG organization, they said that those eye drops (timolol) would only exacerbate existing MG, not just cause side effects that mimc MG. which is the only reason I'm trying to pursue this. had just decided I was getting off "the merry go round" of being passed from doctor to doctor with no one actually doing anything for me. now i can't. not happy. |
