Poll Where are people from...getting some local support

I am looking to see where people are from in hopes to find a person or two locally to meet up with for coffee and support...this disease is a lonely one because of the rareness of it....there is a support group here that meets once every 3 or 4 months...so I have not been yet....

So I am from a Chicago Suburb.....In Illinois!!!

Also, nice to have a contact if I travel outside of the state....

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, I'm in Rhode Island.

Live in Brick, NJ the lovely jersey shore. Have only met one other person with MG and that was only a brief encounter at a restaurant near Princeton. If you go to myasthenia.org they have local chapters but you probably already know that.

Chattanooga, TN here. However, I have met 3 other people with mg in my area at the infusion clinic where I get my ivig. Have you asked the infusion nurse if anyone else has mg (if you get ivig) and is willing to share their diagnosis with you?

Kimmy, check out: http://www.myastheniagravis.ca/id3.html - Ms. Simmons may be able to get you in touch with others in your area and support group meetings.

I'm out on the East coast of Canada, closest support group for me is in Ontario. So I use online communication to discuss the disease.
