Default hi everyone

just thought Id check in been reading around here.

since I got diagnoses with diabetes back last sept, Ive dropped almost 60 lbs, my a1c dropped from a 9.1 to a 4.4.
Im still getting my Ivig every 6 weeks, but I have to be honest, Im feeling better now than I have in 3 years.

Ive been taking cellcept for approx 6 months straight, doc says it might start kicking in soon and get me off Ivig.

Whatever, No complaints. Learning how to deal with this stuff.

Went away for a few nights twice in the past 6 months. Thats more than I travelled in the past 4 years. Nothing exciting, but willing to go out again with my wife and enjoy the time retired.
Myasthenia isnt getting in my way that much.
I never thought it would be this controllable.
Hope you all feel a little better.

Allen...good to hear your news! I am so glad things have been so much better for you!! Hope the cellcept kicks in shortly and you get to cut back (or stop) the IVIG. That would be truly fantastic.

So happy you and your wife have been able to enjoy your retirement more. It makes such a difference when your health lets you do stuff! Great news.

It's great to hear from you again, Allen! I'm glad you aren't letting MG get in the way. I wish I could take a road trip. I miss doing that almost more than anything. I miss working the most.

This may be too personal but make sure you get your prostate checked (blood test too) from time to time. Now that you're being immunosuppressed, make sure you don't get that quite common cancer!

I'm really glad you are doing well because you were quite unhappy in the beginning. Who wouldn't be? It's really great that you found what works for you. Take it easy.
