Enzymes are proteins that the body produces as required.

Like every protein they are made from amino acids. Those come from the proteins in our diet that are metabolized in our gut.

I can't quite understand why you (and you are not the first one I have heard saying this) think that our body requires enzymes from plants.

What exactly would be their role in our body?
