Smile SFEMG recommendations & reliability

I need your recommendations for SFEMG testing (as a private message please) regardless of where that might be.

Please write one sentence with your reason for the recommendation and also include if you needed a referral.

Thanks,

From Anacrusis

I had also been wondering if SFEMG´s are really 95% accurate (or thereabouts)
Or, if that percentage would end up being much lower because of the following´discrepancies´:

1) SFEMG results can be negative in MG patients who are in crisis
2) SFEMG results depend on the practitioner
3) SFEMG results are less accurate if not taken on a weak muscle area
4) SFEMG can be negative in seronegative patients
5) SFEMG´s are negative in myasthenia if the problem lies solely with muscle contraction and not transmission of the electrical signal itself *
6) Other…..

* Thanks to Alice md for sharing both her experiences and extensive research on these topics

Thank you SO much - I have a couple of incredible tips so far.

It´s amazing to think how much you can accomplish on the internet pressing just a few keys - that you could never have done just some years ago.

It´s also amazing that a person you don´t know is sitting at another computer somewhere far away & spending time contemplating solutions for your well being!

Thank you to anyone who has ever done that for me on this forum
