Off and on I´ve been trying to read up on neurotoxic substances. I have fluctuating muscle weakness in MG patterns but it´s not even necessarily MG. I really feel like I´m grasping at straws with the neurotoxic topic in the same way as when we were trying to pinpoint exactly which food stuff/additive was responsible for my intolerances some years ago - it´s really difficult to isolate a single offender and keep all those external factors consistent. I do know titanium dioxide is found in many day-to-day products but still here is what I found out over the last years: Antibiotics with titanium dioxide – delayed bulbar followed by general limb weakness (12-16 hours) Sedatives with titanium dioxide – delayed bulbar followed by general limb weakness (12-16 hours) Q10 tablets with titanium dioxide - delayed bulbar followed by general limb weakness (12-16 hours) I wonder if maybe it could be a possible allergic reaction to a neurotoxic substance - if its the Q10 - then I give up!….. Anyway there aren´t that many tests done on this substance and these are not real tests proving one thing or another - just experiences I wanted to share with folks that might be interested. Most CoQ-10 in this country now is delivered in softgel form
with a solubilizing agent. My ubiquinol does not have it listed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanium_dioxide So read your labels. http://www.drugs.com/inactive/titanium-dioxide-70.html It appears much more common in sunscreens and cosmetic products.

(Ingredients: Ubiquinon, titanium dioxide - palm oil too - like I said difficult to isolate one offender) The minute I suspected it might be a culprit, I got into the habit of reading everything - even got the sales girl reading out the ingredients on the back of a tube of toothpaste at the supermarket for me when I forgot my own glasses. We all do what we can. Last edited by Anacrusis; 09-16-2012 at 11:35 AM. Reason: Found the box |

Many times innocent appearing words such as-natural flavorings or fragrance, hide a host of chemicals we haven't even heard about. Not to speak of misleading information such as natural, organic, green, not tested on animals-which give the impression of a safe and environmental friendly product when it is not. |

I use the generic multivitamins that Walmart sells as a generic to Centrum Senior. They do not list titanium dioxide in their ingredients. At one time they did. I am assuming that they took it out.
