Since so many of us tend to be science "nerds" and also enjoy the beauty of the planet, I wonder how many of you tune into the Alomar Observatory this time of year.
http://alomar.rocketrange.no/allcams.html We're in a "solar watch" for the next two days, which means great viewing of the aurora in Norway (my homeland). Catching it requires hitting the refresh button quite a bit, since it's not a self-refreshing or "live" site but it's well worth it. It always puts me in a good mood. The moon is pretty spectacular there too and is now up all night. ![]() Don't be alarmed if you see some odd things. They shoot lasers on a regular basis (see below). Abby, your post made me think of this when you talked about MGers feeling like we're from a different planet when people look at and interact with us. ![]() Annie Last edited by AnnieB3; 10-07-2012 at 09:15 PM. |
