Cool Smirk Off Topic: Aurora

Since so many of us tend to be science "nerds" and also enjoy the beauty of the planet, I wonder how many of you tune into the Alomar Observatory this time of year.

http://alomar.rocketrange.no/allcams.html

We're in a "solar watch" for the next two days, which means great viewing of the aurora in Norway (my homeland). Catching it requires hitting the refresh button quite a bit, since it's not a self-refreshing or "live" site but it's well worth it. It always puts me in a good mood.

The moon is pretty spectacular there too and is now up all night.

Don't be alarmed if you see some odd things. They shoot lasers on a regular basis (see below). Abby, your post made me think of this when you talked about MGers feeling like we're from a different planet when people look at and interact with us. Nature could care less if we have MG and I always feel at home and "accepted" while out in it.

I couldn´t resist but send you a ´Silver Moon´ song by a young group from your homeland, Annie!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRLO0AHV-fs

But this Northern Lights music CD is more what you might take out with you for a trip under a shooting star shower or if you´re lucky enough to experience the aurora borealis

It´s complementary music for anyone who enjoys relaxation/meditation....

I find I can get away from it all/enjoy my surroundings with either of the above.
