Question Urine problem

Don't know I may be posting this twice, sorry if I did.
I am on prednisone and methotrexate. My urine smells toxic
Dr says I have blood in my urine with no bacteria.
Took a CT scan they thought they say a 2.5 spot on liver
Then took an ultrasound and they said I was too fat too see anything.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Hey, maybe they can do an MRI or take a biopt of the liver?
Mtx can be VERY toxic for the liver!

Blood in urine can be caused by sooooo many things, from the simplest scratch to the worst disease, so it's no point giving you an enumeration of the possible causes.
What do you mean it smells toxic?
Is your glucoses checked?
Oh, and infections can be aseptic, though I don't know if urinary tract infections can be aseptic.

However, if you use MTX and have a spot on the liver, I think the liver is something to be checked out... Have you had bloodtest (alat, asat,....)?

Anyway, i have had liverintoxication caused by MTX.
I also had blood in my urine / weird smelling pee, but -in my cause!- this had nothing to do with eachother: I got diabetes from the prednison, this caused urinary tract infection plus weird smelling pee (glucoses).

You can have kidney stones causing blood in your urine without an infection. There also may be an infection that is not being detected. You need to go to a good urologist ASAP.

The liver thing is serious too. If a drug is causing liver problems, I would not take the drug regardless of how much good it is doing. This needs to be aggressively seen about. I am not sure whether you need an internist or a gastroenterologist.

Meanwhile, don't make liver issues worse with drugs. This includes acetaminophen (Tylenol) and alcohol. Statin drugs are toxic to the liver as well.

MRI's can see right through fat. I would think the CT scan could as well.
