Default non-consecutive IVIg

I'm going in for a 5-day course of IVIg next week (I've been steadily weakening). The infusion center is only open Monday through Friday. They're going to try to get me in on Monday, but my neurologist says that he's also willing to do three days, take Saturday and Sunday off, and then do two more days. He says he didn't used to do that, but he does now. Does anyone know if IVIg is less effective split up like that?

I have had about every combo you can think of but none of them had any effect on me. At first we did every other day then later we started different combos. Once I did 24 sessions every other day. Some do 5 days in a row but due to my age (72) he doesn't like to do that but we have due to scheduling.

My first round was like that, because I got really sick with headache and nausea and the doctor wanted to resolve that before continuing. I think it's a fine idea as you can take time to "rest and rehydrate" and then finish. It should have absolutely no bearing on the ultimate outcome of the series.

Good luck!

They take blood after every infusions. My infusions were interrupted because of of elevated BUN levels. I had them on Mon./Tues. then again on Fri. and finished on Mon./Tues. again.
