Is it true, worthwhile to try to make sure to get the dr to make sure monthly treatments are specifically the same manufacturer as that which i received for initial treatment (since no bad reactions to that?). For ex, i found several years ago i do better on brand synthroid rather than generic so i am willing to pay the extra cost for brand.

In my opinion, yes. There are differences between brands. I am a long term user of IVIG and have used 2 different brands. I had a lot more side effects with the first brand, so I asked to change and I find do a whole lot better now.
Glad you got relief. Enjoy! |

I have been taking the same brand for almost 4 years but it was unavailable for my last infusions so I was given a different brand.
I felt really good for 3 days after and that is not usual. No way of knowing if it was the different brand or if this would have happened anyway. scrubbs |

I agreee, i was on one for a while, and couldn't get my rate above 80 (got chest pains and aseptic meningitis several times). we switched brands and I can now get my rate much higher and don't have the bad side effects.
