I had one such episode while riding my horse. I am sure that I had over exerted myself, and I forgot my mestinon. It didn't work out too well. I was totally paralyzed and stopped breathing. I didn't feel scared. Just puzzled.
The nice thing about being a bit too fat. When I hit the dirt, I was well padded............ ![]() I am really careful now to take my mestinon before doing anything that is potentially dangerous.

I have had instances recently during the night where I have been totally unable to move my legs. It is as if they are completely paralysed and as I try to turn over in bed I must drag them or else lift them with my arms to move them. It's a horrible sensation and I worry that if it persists I may not be able to stand up. Fortunately its always come back again once my body is awake.

This past summer I ignored my symptoms and my grown daughter signed herself and me up for an exercise program. I made it through the first couple of sessions, but progressively became weaker. I think it was the third time I went when I collapsed on the exercise mat and couldn't move my lower body for a few minutes or so. When I finally did stand up my legs felt like jello. The instructor suggested I quit the class and try yoga.

I've been going through diagnostic hoops over the past ten years and finally got a diagnosis from a Rheumatologist, an unlikely person to diagnose me, but I tested positive for modulating antibodies. I chose to ignore my symptoms before the diagnosis hoping my symptoms would disappear...but they didn't.
