If you do have anxiety, your nervous system can cause tremors. Don't get all upset, everyone, some people actually do have anxiety! It could be an endocrine issue other than a thyroid one too, including an abnormal increase in the norepinephrine/epinephrine, etc. pathways.

A consult with an endocrinologist sounds like a reasonable thing to do.

My son has an intention tremor too, and I dont' know why. I watched him start an IV on someone the other day and wow, did his hands shake as he put the IV in. He said in the beginning of his training he thinks he did it from being nervous but now he doesn't feel nervous at all. Frankly I'm surprised no one at the hospital where he works has said anything to him... I would think patients would complain!

I want him to see a doctor and get it checked out. He has had it for a long time, but I never saw it quite so bad as when he was placing the IV line.
