Susan, How long have you been on the Imuran?

Annie

I've been on Imuran since 2001. Thinking that maybe cellcept would be more effective?? But I've heard that the transitioning can cause many problems?? I was doing better- met a friend for about an hr on Fri and chit chatted some- well..now my palate feels very weak again- arms too. Ridiculous!!

All you can do is try. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I wasn't aware that transitioning could be tricky. I have a friend who switched years ago and I think it was pretty quick--reducing Imuran while introducing CC. Several years back I switched briefly from CC to Prograf and was told to just make the switch. Unfortunately, the use of Prograf itself was a failure, so back to CC I went--and remain.

Good luck!:)

Sorry you are feeling so bad. I have a hard time chewing too. I eat mushy foods like oatmeal, casseroles, fish, overcooked noodles and overcooked vegetables cut up small. I find that If I do not have to chew so much I have an easier time with the swallowing.

I cannot not eat salad, or breads or red meats at all anymore - too much chewing. I hope you feel better soon.
