Smile Las Vegas Meetings

I know there's at least one or two people from Vegas here. I was just told by my nurse that there's an MG meeting tomorrow (Sat 5/11/13) at 10am. I don't know too much about it, but I'm thinking of making an appearance. I think it's being put on by Tim Szymanski, local firefighter spokesman who was recently diagnosed. It's at the fire station near Bonanza and Las Vegas Boulevard near the municipal pool. The address looks to be 500 North Casino Center Boulevard. Looks like you get off US-95 on Las Vegas Boulevard headed north. Immediate left onto Bonanza and then the first left onto the driveway just before the tall building.

I hope it's a good meeting! It's great talking to other MGers in person.

I wish they had MG meetings around where I live. I would love to get to meet a few people like me in person. I am surprised that more hospitals don't sponsor groups like this. I feel like we are left on our own. If it was not for this group I do not know how I would ever have managed.

I met a lady with MG at our infusion center. It was a great thrill to share our experiences. She has since moved to another center due to insurance problems.

I've never been able to track down a group here locally. Maybe it "helps" a bit that we have someone in the community who's a little more well known that's going through the same thing. Hoping it's something that can be continued for our local patients.
