Default Easy brusing

Did anyone experience easy bruising with pregnisone? I am currently being weaned off high dose pregnisone ans I am experience numerous large black and blue marks on my arms and leg and cannot even recall bumping the limb. And the bruises hurt a lot.

That is very normal to have happen when on higher doses of prednisone. You also will notice that your skin is thinner than normal and all you need to do is brush up against something and you will nick it and it will bleed. I have to carry a box of bandaids with me as I seem to nick my arms a lot.

Yes you do bruse easily with prednisone. I hate that drug. Took it for something else besides MG however. Made me very very moody as well. Hope you can wean down and feel alot better. ginnie

Are you on any immune suppressants too? They cause easy bruising right alongside that evil steriod. Along with really slow cut or scrapes ...vampire looking bites...healing. Lol why I say vampire bites my catheter removal site looks like a vampire bit me but was rough cuz its bruised too. Lol
