Default Just one of those Days!!!

Just one of those days that I am tired, hurt, and just plain disgusted. I am 62 and fill 80., just venting I guess, 4 years ago before I had this disease my stamina was unbelieveable and did anything that I basically wanted to do and had to do., now no job, barely make it thru the day with out a nap., can't do my outside stuff, and I am sure depressed on top of it. I know a lot of people have it alot worse, just feeling sorry for myself today.
Thanks for listening.

Hello Whirlwind, Sigh, those good old "MG" days--who can't relate to those! You made a very common statement: "I know a lot of people have it a lot worse..." It is empathy for others. It's also a feeling of guilt, and I am going to ask you to toss guilt to the wind, and I mean literally. Touch your shoulders and throw it out there. Your feelings are no less than anyone else's!

You are feeling sorry for yourself?--good, because you deserve it! When our lives have been turned upside down, we need to acknowledge and feel the sadness, and to cry, or to get angry--whatever works. (Just go easy on the dog! ) After all these years, I still have the occasional cry--works for me!

What we all need to watch is that it doesn't go on for over, say, a couple of weeks. If it does, then we need to find someone to help us.

Venting--YOU BET! Fire away....We're here...

whirlwind, I am feeling just like you and I am only 53. Arguing with my teenage daughter has exaccerbated my MG. The one side of my face is so bad, it looks like I had a stroke. I slept 21 hours from Saturday into Sunday, 16 hr the day before and 12 hours the 2 days before that. The easing off pregnisone has set off my MG once I got down 30 mg a day. I have 1 week to wait for IVIG

I also feel sorry for myself today. I still work; I just have trouble getting everything done and I feel like crap. I don't feel like doing the things that I want to do.

I know what you mean., I hated that I hate to give up work , it has been a financial problem on top of feeling lousy. Somedays just get to all of us.
And other days we can handle it.

I am having a really bad week. The MG weakness and fatigue is so bad. I went to Joanne fabrics to buy fabric for my MG Awareness quilt, when I came home I had to take a 4 hour nap to recupperate. Desert ended up on the floor again. I hope this is not how it is going to be all summer with the heat.

Whirlwind, you said just exactly how I feel. I'm tired of feeling this way, I'm tired of having to explain to people in the medical community what Stiff Person Syndrome is, and I'm tired of not being able to do the thing that I love which is playing in the dirt - working in the yard and having way too many potted plans around our back patio. And I can't even do the thing that I hate to do which is housework.

And most of all I feel guilty for feeling this way when I've seen people with true diplitating illnesses.

Somedays it's just too much to handle. I'm tired of being tired.
