I was terrified to take mesinon to start with. It is not really that bad of a drug. The side effects are worth the life improvement. The biggest thing that I get is diarrhea, but imodium takes care of it.

My hubby has a tender digestive system, but the Mestinon for him had absolutely no side effects (okay, except once when he took two, forgetting that he'd already taken one - major diarrhea). The best part was when he could finally swallow his dinner without any surprises. Now, a year later, he still has no side effects, and can some days take only two doses without any issues.

Here's hoping you have a similar experience - just make sure you don't take two at one time!

Hi Gabriella,
I have been taking Mestinon for 6 years without any side effect which I could relate to that drug ( 5 x 60 mg, each 3 hrs approximately).
I always take or drink something with it, never on an empty stomach.
Although not 2 MG are alike, youŽll never know if you donŽt try!
Maurice.
