Cait, I noticed you said you take Lisinopriel for BP. Do you have a cough as a side effect, or are you not having any side effects. I am happy with the medicine, and it does the job, but have a fairly consistant cough. This listed as a possible side effect. Just curious, thanks

Hi FredH - I developed a persistent cough from BP med I was on and I noticed that my swallowing muscles were much weaker. Spoke with the neuro and he agreed the cough was wearing out the same muscles I needed to swallow. Had to switch BP med - just something you need to be aware of.

I have no cough at all with the BP medicine. Sorry you are experiencing the side-effect. A persistent cough wears any one out, but with MG that could be serious.

I had a cough with propranolol. I do not have a cough with losartan. The losartan has a similar mode of action as the lisinoprel, so it might be a good option to try.
