My doctor is starting me on cellcept. Anybody want to share any ideas about it? What about side effects? How long does it take to work?
I am really hoping that it helps. It is getting hard to walk.

I have been on it for over a year. It's no miracle drug but it has stabilized me some. No side effects like Imuran. Are you on prednisone? If so how much? When I was on 60mg I almost had to order a wheelchair due to my legs. My neuro-muscular Dr said it was the prednisone. I'm now down to 12 1/2mg and legs are a lot better. As for how long for the Cellcept takes, it is 6-12 months.

I was on 3000 mg Cellcept for 12 years - didn't have any side affects and didn't really know if it was working until it stopped working! Definitely knew it then. Good luck.

I am not on prednisone. I have used it short term and it raises my blood pressure to stroke levels. I hope this will help. Thanks.

I have been on Cellcept for 8 wks and having some tolerable side effects. I have some significant sweating especially during the day. Also, in the past few weeks I have been having muscle pain in my arms and legs. I have noticied my double vision is about 50% improved and I have fewer "bad" days. I am hopeful this will work for me
Good Luck Sandy ![]() |

I've been on it for 12 or 13 years (lost count.) I have gastric distress from it, but have learned to manage that. No other real side effects. Not all generics are created equally, so please note that if your pharmacy changes mfr frequently, you may have different effectiveness and side effects.
As for speed of action, it is pretty fast. I began noting improvement within days. GOOD LUCK! |

I took my first cellcept last night. Second one this morning. My doc started me on 250 MG twice daily. I have today off from work, so I wanted to start it when it wouldn't keep me home if it made me sick.
So far, I have had no side effects. So far, so good.
