Default My most beneficial help!

Hi, I'm 73, have had MG symptoms most of my life; went through all the ways to get help medically and way back there, they had few and none that worked.
I found out on my own that eliminating all wheat products from my diet that my pain, stiffness and creaking joints got better within weeks-also I had more
energy and strength though not for relay running etc. I wanted to pass this info on incase there were some who would like to try it. It's not hard to give up
breads...really! And you will feel much better; I use corn tortilla's lightly toasted for bread if I want a sandwich-it works. Wheat has ingredients in it that aggravate inflammation of joints which causes pain. We have enough of that when we have MG! Thank you for reading this; I hope that you will give it a try-it takes about 6 weeks to "cure" the need for wheat products-and it's okay to cheat a "tiny little bit" if you must during the weaning off period of time. Rice flour is okay, you can make a lot of things with rice flour! And you can use oat too. It never hurts anyone to try to help yourself... Love to all,
Wanda June, California

Thanks for this post - I have just been reading up on the "anti-inflammatory" diet after finding some blogs from people with myasthenia, and other autoimmune diseases, saying how this diet had dramatically helped them! I had decided to give it a go in the new year and your post has spurred me in even more.

I'm glad you're feeling well

Hi Kathie - I came across this and this is what first put me onto considering the anti inflammatory diet....the huperzine sounds interesting but I'm not sure about trying it?!?

https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...31612633524456

Then I looked on Amazon for a diet/recipe book and found there are a few out there. The Anti inflammatory for Dummies book looks good and I think I might get it (It's probably on the US Amazon too?)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anti-Inflamm...atory+cookbook

But I managed to download this on ibooks for £2.99 so thought I try reading this first as its for beginners?!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Inflamma...+for+beginners

You can Google it too for more ideas or more immediate help??

It would be lovely if it worked!! Let me know if you try it and how you get on, I'm going to give it a go a do a shop to buy everything I need.....but I have already made a deal with myself that I am not giving up Chocolate! Bread will be hard enough!! lol

Thanks for the info!! I have had GI issues since this all started.. and have family members with celiac, so I went gluten free.... my GI issues resolve with the diet.. yesterday I ate something I shouldn't and have been paying for it - but my muscles are apparently angry like My GI system, I had been feeling great, but now feel so weak... can't swallow well again and walking up the stairs feels like a marathon! So, I'm a big advocate of the Gluten free diet!
