Thanks for the update!! |
Thanks for ur messages! I've just had my thymectomy via sternotomy last thurs and I got released 3 days later. I'm home and not too bad. Each day gets easier-thank goodness for wonderful families helping! :-) all went well the gland came out in one piece with the thymoma fully enclosed so the surgeon was delighted as I am too xx

They haven't indicated but did say to be aware if my symptoms worsen as some of the medications can induce/worsen MG symptoms as well as improve them. Funnily enough my eyes sometimes feel a bit odd when I take my Mestinon now so I'll need to book in to see my neuro. In saying that he wanted me off that anyway as he was hoping my Azathioprine was at a good constant level to control my MG on it's own. It does seem a bit co incidental that it's collided with my thymectomy though? Trying not to get my hopes up too much as it can take quite a while for a difference from what I've read. |
