Uh, my opinion: yes and YES.....get a CT!! My sister had a CT with contrast.

One of the reasons I was stumped (I had read her CT report) -- it said "superior" mediastinal mass. Everything I had found said that the "anterior" mediastinum was related to thymoma. I am not a medical person and have no idea of the difference. I get confused when doctors/nurses say "distal" and/or "proximal".

I can't advise as to whether you need a new neuro. Thymomas ARE rare. MG is pretty rare -- and something like 10% to 15% of MGers are found to have thymomas. So we are talking about something that many, many docs probably only read about in books.

Superior just means closer to the head rather than farther from the head. It really doesn't say anything unless it also says anterior, posterior, etc.
