My sister-in-law (age 72) was turned down by an insurance company for medicare supplement coverage due to a diagnosis. She had to go with AARP; My understanding is that AARP cannot turn you down due to any diagnosis. AARP is by far the largest medicare supp supplier. I had to use AARP supp when I went on medicare because of many diagnosis, including mg. I used an agent in CA even though I live in TN - she did everything on the internet and was very helpful explaining everything (no cost to you). If you would like her name, please send me a private message.

Thanks Juanita, I have been doing much research, and it looks as though Medicaid will ultimately rescue me from catastrophic coinsurance/co-pay burdens. I have an appointment with my social worker today and will discuss these matters with her. She is a very caring person and a real expert in her work. I am 69 yrs of age and a man of meager means. Thank God for public assistance programs like Medicare, and Medicaid. Best Wishes, patrick123
