Default Mg issue?

I did a no-no this past week. For work I am required to do a winter survival training course on snowcats, tracked ATVs and snowmobiles. Now using these types of equipment is just a small area of what I do for a living but it is still a requirement to take this course. Another issue coming into play was that I was getting a head cold. Wednesday was when we started our outdoor portion with this course and I selected to start with the snow cat which is physically easy, Wednesday afternoon I got assigned the most physically one which is the tracked ATV. I lasted about half way through that one and had to give in as I was physically spent. That night I couldn't sleep because of sinus issues and muscle soreness. Thursday was Snow mobile training and land navigation. Snow mobileing used a different set of muscles than the ATV so I had different muscle weakness/soreness than what I acquired the day before. Here is where I don't know if its is MG related or just cold related. From that night forward I have a lump on my gland on the right side of the neck next to my Adams Apple. During the night it swells abot 3 times the size of what it is whiles I awake and I have to get up and hack and drink warm fluids to get this to wear I can go back to sleep for a few hours. As I don't really want to go to the hospital just yet that I will do if necessary. I like to get into my neuro early this week if he has a sudden opening. It's been 9 months since my last appointment which is past due. So does this just sound more like an inflamed gland or can it be MG related. it is not life threatening yet as I can get plenty of breath back once I get the selling to subside by warm fluids and sleeping sitting up. BTW, I use 60mg Mestinon 4 times daily

If it's right next to your windpipe, it could be your thyroid. People with MG often have thyroid problems. The nice thing about thyroid problems is that they're usually very treatable. Thyroid problems can make MG symptoms flare up. I hope you get to a doctor very soon.

Luckily just inflamed limp nodes. One side is the size of an apple and the other side is only about 1/2 an apple size the larger one seems to have stabilizedwhile the smaller one still growing. Glad it was't MG related.

Aloha and welcome ... I have just been reading about this condition and it is the first time I am aware of it... Is there anything you do that brings relief?
