I'm sure you guys have already read about this "new" virus, but it's worth repeating. Since it is affecting the lungs in most people, it's one we MGers need to be particularly cautious about.
http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/11/health...html?hpt=hp_t2 It's obviously spreading beyond the "midwest," since it might now be in Alabama and a few other states. It does seem to affect children more, but that might be due to the fact that their immune systems aren't fully developed. In that case, it'll probably affect those who are immune compromised or the elderly, too. And those with asthma or other lung issues. Get some Cold-Eeze, vitamin C, chicken soup, Purell, and anything else you might need, in case you acquire this virus. Hand washing is a great preventative medicine. AND see your primary doctor at the first sign of symptoms. Don't wait! Or just stay home and away from people! ![]() Annie |
