Default Narcolepsy and MG

I was recently diagnosed with narcolepsy w/cataplexy. In hindsight I now realize a lot of symptoms I have been attributing to MG are narcolepsy and a lot of unexplained events are cataplexy events (most of which were explained by doctors as anxiety) I do think I have both (as well as Hashimotos and I think other auto immune as well as Guillain Barre in 1984 - complete quadriplegic for 12 weeks)

Anyone have narcolepsy w/cataplexy?

Stephanie

That is interesting. I read an news article several years ago about a patient that had been misdiagnosed with seronegative MG and actually had cataplexy instead. The reason it was a lawsuit is that the person went through a thymectomy as well as IVIG and lost a lot of work time.

I hope you feel better.
