Default Cellcept for men over 70

I have taken Cellcept for 6 months and I am 73. I haven't noticed any improvement. Has anyone else over 70 had any success with Cellcept, mycophenolate?

It can take close to a year until it really becomes effective. Give it a chance as so many patients have had success with it including myself.

Hi Fandangoman,
I have been taking Cellcept (3000 mg/d then 1500 mg/d) for 4 years without any effect. I quit taking Celcept 4 years ago...
Nevertheless, robocar is right, Cellcept is one of the slowest drug amongst immunosuppressants.
Maurice.

I to am 73 and have taken 2 GRAMS a day for 16 months (CELLCEPT).
It makes me dizzy and is aggravated by Mestinon.
Since it is an anti rejection drug I thought it is solely to stop the rejection of the chemical we MG folks are lacking.(Acetylcholine).
My neuro indicates I would be on it indefinately.
Mestinon is another story!!!
