Default Cold weather and ice test

Hi all, newly diagnosed and I have a dumb-ish question:
I haven't tried the ice test that they say will help nerve connection and relieve weakness for a short time but I've read about it.
If that is the case, why do I slur my words SO BADLY when it's cold outside? Like, its seriously bad, the slurring (I'm probably not the only one here), it's drastic and embarrassing.
Does anyone know the explanation for this?

Thanks!
