Default Off meds for years but maybe feeling symptoms returning.

Have had mg for 11 years this month. Was on high doses of prednisone and cellcept for a number of years. Eventually went into remission and got to the point where i eventually came off of everything. Been drug free for 5 years or so. Mg always in the background. I could feel it in my eyes and breathing for a couple weeks and then it will go away. Recently have felt it coming on stronger and probably going to go back on meds soon. Not very fond of the meds or how long it may take for them to kick back in. Going to talk to nero about Rituxan. I am musk positive and know it works very good for musk. Any experiences or suggestions. I feel like I know mg just as good as anybody and plenty of you on here I'll probably the same. Your advice / experiences are really valuable.

I am considering Rituxan as well. I've done Cellcept, pred, IG and high dose cytoxan (reboot). Things are pretty bad again. I've had MG for 17 years.

Please keep us posted on what you learn. Feel free to private massage me as well. So sorry you are going through this.

Thumbs up

I'm Achr and have had a CRISIS 1 yr ago and was hospitalized for 8 weeks with ALL of the worse symptoms, breathing, swallowing, double vision, neck arms and face numbness etc...

Have been on meds since Pred, Imuran, Mestinon & SR, Pantoloc, IVIG, weekly Plex's... My red blood cells and iron have started dropping dradiscly so my Specialist and I have decided it was time to go with RITUXAN and I have had my 1st infusion this past April 26th with no side effects and already staring to feel much better, I'm seeing my Specialist May 4th to see how my blood test looks like and see if I can start cutting back on some of my meds especially the Pred and Imuran!!!

So far I'm very hopeful to get back in remission, I've read some very positive thread's on RITUXAN I'm very positive about this med.
