Nac Mac Feegle, thanks so much for your response. I'm glad the plasmapheresis helped you, but it sounds like it was scary at first when you were doing so poorly! I'm sorry the prednisone has caused so much weight gain for you. Will you be able to taper down once the Imuran is working better for you? I know it takes awhile to take effect.

In my case, it is awkward. They won't prescribe immune-modifying drugs like Imuran or Cellcept, because I don't have positive test results for MG. I have the symptoms. So for now we are doing these other treatments, and I take Mestinon. We are trying to manage it as best we can given the situation.

Take care,
Erin

Have you considered a thymectomy? Also, how's your diet? When I went gluten free I noticed a small improvement in my symptoms.
