Patrick,

Trials were suspended. Who knows why. The drug had great promise. Was supposed to last 24 hours without the side effects that Mestinon can have.

EN 11 - AdisInsight

I know that there are others working on this particular type of therapy. Check in on PubMed once and a while, for they have the latest on that.

Rare diseases don't have as much money poured at them than better known ones, unfortunately. But there are scientists out there who are determined to find better treatments. Keep the faith.

Thankfully, I do quite well on Mestinon. Was thinking of others for whom it may not be very effective. Always want to see additional options for treating this, "our blessing."
