Nope, they aren't fun. Neither is the waiting for the two hours it often takes for neuros to analyze the data. What's the point of having a computer immediately analyze data when doctors need to spend that long reanalyzing it! :cool:

The neurologist's office responded about my SFEMG. The report is not in my portal for me to see yet, but she did say that the study was normal and speaks strongly against the diagnosis of MG.

So ... I'm assuming it's just not normal for a persons eyeballs to wander while your lid drops. Not sure where to go from here.

What else can cause such things?:confused:

SLee, Please get a copy of the report (once in your portal). Do you have copies of the antibody tests as well?

You can always see an expert for a second opinion. Since you have fibro, have you consulted with a good rheumatologist? That would be a reasonable thing to do.

Have you had your vitamin D checked? Musculoskeletal pain can be caused by a D deficiency.

They can always recheck your antibodies in 6 months.

I don't know what else could be causing your symptoms. I wish you had a doctor who would do some thinking for you!

Don't be discouraged. You aren't doing well, and there's always a reasons for that.

I have copies of everything except that last SFEMG. I'd like to see what the report says before I call the neuro back. This particular test (needle around the eye) wasn't especially painful and the woman doing the test seemed puzzled by that. It didn't start to hurt until she'd been digging around awhile. The other tests had me in tears.

I do have blood tests done every 6 months by my primary for my thyroid and all those other things like sugar, b-12, d3. Also, my rheumatologist does regular blood tests for autoimmune diseases. Everything is within normal range.

Up to this point the neuro has been putting this down to "migraine variance" and generalized anxiety. Everything else is placed under the umbrella of the fibromyalgia. He did say we would get to the bottom of what's happening. I can't see him again until January but his office is really good about responding to my issues.

Some migraines are caused by too much histamine. Do you have any allergies or undiagnosed food allergies? Celiac disease?

I just hope your doctors can figure out what is going on!!!
