Default MG in Asia

Does anyone have any stats on how many Asians have MG and how it is becoming more pronounced in Asia? Many doctors are now scrambling to figure out even how to deal with this disease. What has been your experience?

From a PubMed search ("myasthenia gravis" and "Asia") I can not find any systematic analysis of the prevalence of MG in Asia.

Sorry that I can't be of more help.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I am dealing with the English language barrier here as well for other posts in SE Asia. It is prevelant here and many have it. However, they do not understand it unless the Dr. has been to the west to learn about it in their studies. Many go undiagnosed I see. Sad for them. Seeing by the number of people looking at this post, it is obviously a concern for many........

Default Wuhan Virus and MG

Anybody know the impact of the Wuhan Virus on MG sufferers? The virus is spreading rapidly throughout Asia and I imagine if you already have MG, your are in a weakened immune state if on steroids etc. N95 mask are running out here, and or being sold at a 400% mark up in some cases. Protect yourselves.

Also very difficult to get in to your exams now with M.D. due to fears of cross-contamination with others in waiting room, and or your physician may have possible infection as well. Just another hurdle now to endure with this horrible disease.

China manufactures a whole lot of the worlds pharmaceuticals... Their factors mostly all been shut down while they are in isolation in their homes. Think, think, think...

Maybe try to keep extra meds on hand as this works it way around the world now.

N95 masks are critical to those with immune deficiency - especially while you and family are in the hospital waiting rooms!

Default Any new MG treatments in the West?

Seems like the board has slowed down a lot. Just checking in and seeing if any of you living in the west have any new MG treatments to share? Things still very slow and closed here.
